First and foremost, if you are having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, please go to the nearest emergency room and/or call 911.
Ideally, therapeutic support is something that is preventative. Being able to create a tool kit for yourself that you have practiced so it becomes second-nature - where you can reach in at the first signs of being overwhelmed. However, that is often not the case.
We reach out when we already haven’t slept in a few weeks. Or have missed days of work. Or we have stopped leaving the house. Or we have stopped showering regularly.
Recognizing that reaching out for support at this point will likely take some time to reach a baseline of functioning.
Let’s work together to help you build up that tool kit so you can get back to living your life.
